About Online Check-In

Online check-in is a service that gives a possibility to check-in online to all passengers who have a ticketed reservation before arriving to the airport.

The service provides check-in facility to the passengers from 24 hours up to 90 minutes prior to the departure time of their flights, through the web.

Also the passengers,

  • can select their seats by displaying the seat map,
  • can check-in online for the travel companies who are on the same reservation record (maximum 8 passengers at once), through check-in to the final destination or return check-in if they have return flights from the destinations on the same day.

Passengers with Electronic tickets,
  • who have completed their check-in procedures via our web site for Online Boarding Pass eligible stations are able to print their boarding passes.
Who can use this service?

Online Check-In is available for all passengers who have ticketed reservation for the flight departing from to domestic and international stations destinations which are listed here.

According to Italian Civil Aviation Rules, doing "Online Check-In" for under 18 years old passengers and group passengers on flights departured from Italy is forbidden.

The benefit of Online Check-In:


Our passengers will be able to reach their booked flights, check in online, within comfort of their homes or offices and print online boarding passes if they have the necessary conditions.

By using this service , the passengers could get the advantage of using online check-in counters or businnes class counters for stations where online check-in counters are not available ,without waiting in crowded queues at the airport,and have the opportunity of arriving to the airport at least time before the departure of their flight.

The passengers without baggage could proceed to the boarding gates if they have issued online boarding passes. If the passengers have baggages,they must be delivered to the Drop of Points or Online check-in counter.

Seat Selection

Owing to Online Check-In, our passengers will be able to view the seat map of their booked cabin class and choose any avaiable seat as they wish for themselves.

Turkish Airlines has the right to change the seat number(s) you have preferred at check-in due to operational requirements which may occur.

Baggage Information :

Online check-in is available for the passengers with or without baggage. It is not need to register your baggage details while check-in. Baggage check-in process might be completed at the airport "baggage drop off point" or "online check-in desk". Desks are closed 60 minutes to international, 45 minutes to domestic flights schedule departing time. In case of excess baggage, passengers have to consider the time will be spent for excess baggage payment process. Turkish Airlines does not responsible of probable passenger delays due to excess baggage process.

Miles & Smiles Information:

If our passenger has a Miles & Smiles account, miles will be added after 2 days from their departured flight date.

How Online Check-In is being made:

"Online Check-In" page will be reached via "Online Services" menu item under Online Check-In will be used between 24 hours to 90 minutes before departure.Beside the name information, passenger can get their reservation record by using either Electronic ticket number or booking reference only.

Operation at the airport:

Check in formalities such as getting boarding card, delivering the baggage and security procedures will be completed at the online check-in counters.If online check-in counters are not available at the airport, Business class counters can be used as well for Online check-in passengers.(Except Singapore Station.) Passengers without baggage can directly proceed to the boarding gate with their printed Online boarding passes, Passengers with baggage must leave their baggage at Drop of Points if these Points are not available at the airport please leave your luggage at Business counters before the related check-in closing time.

Passengers traveling to the stations that need special security information should arrive to airport earlier as they need pass through the special security control that is provided by the related authorities.

Special Security Info:

Online boarding pass can be printed by the passengers who completed special security form via web.

As Airport authority request, passengers departing from London and Birmingham should complete SPECIAL SECURITY INFO for their online check-in process.

To be able to fill out the form please have your passport or your traveling documents with you and click on the "Special Security Info" button. Only the online check in can be completed without filling out the form, the online boarding pass cannot be printed.

The time spent at the airport could be shortened by filling the Special Security Form and printing the boarding pass from web.

Online Check-In Cancelation:

To cancel Online Check-in please contact to + 90 212 444 0 849 then ext 4-2-1. If Online Check-in has cancelled, the previous boarding pass that has been printed is not valid anymore. In this case, to prevent any unpreferable situation while boarding, please re-check and re-print the new boarding pass.
